Funeral services for John J. Bell, 1731 Walnut street, who died early last Monday following a brief illness, were conducted from St. Joseph's Catholic on Wednesday morning. Burial was at St. Joseph's cemetery. Bell, who at the time of his death, was in the employ of the Western Electric company in Chicago was for several years a deputy tax assessor in Wilmette in which position he gained a wide acquaintance. He had also formerly been employed as salesman for large Chicago concerns. He was prominent in St. Joseph's Church circles. He is survived by the widow, four children, John, Mary, Earle and Margaret; three brothers, William, Edward and Joseph and one sister, Mrs. Peter Wagner, all of Wilmette. He was the nephew of Joseph Heintzen, Village Trustee.
