Mrs. Louis Melind, 693 Sheridan road, died at her home last Sunday after a lingering illness. She was 55 years old and had been a resident of Wilmette for the past twelve years. Mrs. Melind was born in Berlin, Germany. She had been in this country since she was about five years old. She was a member of the Wilmette chapter of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Louis Melind, is the head of a metal and rubber stamp manufacturing concern which bears his name at 362 West Chicago avenue, Chicago. Besides her husband Mrs. Melind is survived by a son, Roy Melind of Chicago, a daughter, Mrs. David B. Sterrette, also of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. A.J. Reinhard of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Miss Elizabeth Schmidt of Oak Park. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Memorial Park cemetery chapel.
