Funeral services of David Hoffman, Schiller street, Gross Point, who died under tragic circumstances at his home Sunday, September 30, were held Tuesday, with burial at Niles Center.

It is believed by friends of Mr. Hoffman that he took his life because of grief over the continued illness of his two sons, one of whom is in the hospital at the present time. The body was first discovered by neighbors who entered the house several hours after the fatal shooting. At the time of the tragic shooting Mrs. Hoffman was visiting friends in the immediate vicinity of her home.

Mr. Hofffman is survived by his widow and three children.
