The annual meeting of the Congregational church was held in Royal Arcanum Hall Tuesday evening, Dec. 31. At eight o'clock those present partook of an elaborate dinner prepared by the ladies, after which the clerk, Milton A. Sherman, read his report. The next business was the election of two deacons to fill the two vacancies made by the moving away of Mr. C. W. Little and the decease of Mr. Samuel Mitchell. Mr. Field was [damaged] the place of the latter and [damaged] former. Then Mr. H. G. Drury was re-elected trustee and Mr. M. A. Sherman, clerk. Mr. H. E. Moore, treasurer, reported the debts all paid and $1.01 in the treasury. Mr. A. E. Burge was then re-elected superintendent of the Sunday school; Wilfred Beardsley was elected secretary and Hal Brown, librarian. There was a large attendance and all had a delightful time.
