Chad Koschmann of Glencoe claimed victory over Carlos Sainz at the Chicago District Golf Association's Amateaur Championship last Thursday
Four local players joind the list of qualifiers for the 58th Illinois Open to be at the Glen Club Aug. 6-8: Tom Petric, Philip Arouca and Eric Meierdierks of Wilmette and Rory Kenny of Glenview
Chick Evans Junior Amateur qualifier at Glencoe Golf Club June 25 featured locals Ryan Dorner of Glenview, Jordan Havens of Glencoe, Matthew Haller of Winnetka, Danny Murphy of Glenview, Graham Frank of Winnetka, Danny Bressler of Wilmette, Anthony Santacrose of Glenview, Michael Chudacoff of Glencoe, Micahel Koehler of Northbrook, Jordan Stein of Glencoe, Michael Peters of Evanston, Quinlan Prchal of Glenview and Winnetka's Philiip Purcell. ALternates include Zane Peterson of Morton Grove, Doug Howard of Northfield, and Eric VanWart of Glencoe.
Glenview's Nora Lucas competed in IJGA regionals last Friday for Senior Girls (17-18). Wilmette's Katy O'Malley tied for second at Wedgewood Golf Course in Joliet June 25.
Winnetka's Christopher Nolan tied for sixth at Salt Creek. The top two spots in the nine-hole competition for girls 10-11 were claimed by Winnetka golfers Taylor Grentzkow and Kristin Hellstrom.
