The editorial staff for the freshman number of the "New Trier Echoes" was selected last week. This is the third year that freshmen have issued a number of their own. Names include: Luther Hammond, Ethel Flentye, Herman hahn, Kenneth Fagg, Andrew Day, Harmon Rindell, Grace Eager, Theodosia Paynter, Florence Gillson, Jack Taylor, William Sturgeon.
Cast for the senior play is rehearsing. Edward Pringle, class president, is understudy for Horatio Chandler who has a bad cold. Business managers for the play are Mr. Small and Edward Pringle. David Lasier is stage manager. Property managers are Philip King and Virginia Buchanan. Press notices handled by William Mann and carolyn Nethercot. Hall advertising handled by Norma McMillan and Brookes Middleton. Committee of six to decorate the auditorium the night of the play, "Fanny and the Servant Problem."
The Victorian Literary Society gave a program Tuesday consisting of an imaginary "Victorian" number of the Ladies' Home Journal. The program was as follows: Advertisements- Gertrude Shippen; Editorials- Joy Jackson; Fashions- Theodosia Paynter; Helpful Hints- Mildred Bowers; Where to Write- Milddred Light; Jokes- Mildred Gale, Rebecca Fitch; Stories- Grace Eager, Margaret Schlaegel
The Elizabethan Literary Society held an opening meeting in the auditorium on Wednesday. Miss Packer, Assistant principal and Latin instructor, gave a stereopticon lecture on Athens.
A week ago the regular forty-five minute periods were shortened to twenty minutes to allow the teachers to attend a conference held at the University of Chicago.
