At a New Year's day tea at their home, 480 Willow Road, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Warren Payne announced the engagement of their daughter, Frances Carolyn, to Karl Vincent Rohlen, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Arthur Rohlen of Rockford. No date has been set for the wedding. Assisting at the tea were Mrs. Paul J. Ramsey of Glencoe, Mrs. Harrie Cogswell and Mrs. A. E. Bossart of Evanston, Mrs. Maynard Riley, Mrs. Harry White, and Mrs. Raymond Darby of Winnetka, and Mr. Rohlen's two sisters, Mrs. Warren Byrum and Mrs. Marshall Kjellstrum of Rockford.
