Charles E. Newton, 72 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. J. Newton, 348 Washington avenue, last Friday, after an illness of a month. Funeral services were held from the home on Monday of this week, the Rev. George P. Magill officiating, and burial was at the Graceland cemetery. Mr. Newton had been a resident of the village for the past three months. He formerly lived in Chicago and Oak Park.
