Notes:
The Wilmette Park District will spend more than $100,000 next year to open up the Langon Park beach to swimming. The district voted to charge people to use the beach, long closed to swimming, just as at Gillson Park. Beach passes will be good at both sites. Officials say that over the past two years parties of young people have gathered at the unsupervised site causing problems with underage drinking and area parking.
