The All Girls Chess Tournament was held in the Community Recreation Center, 3000 Glenview Road, on Super Bowl Sunday with three dozen entrants organzized by Alice Holt. First place winner in the 6-8th grade level was Madeline Reiches of Evanston, followed by Sonoya Vohra of Wilmette in second and Kathy Qiu of Wilmette in third. In the 4-5th grade group: Victoria Bian was first followed by Yue Xu of Chicago and Megan Crane of Skokie. 2-3rd grade group: Sophia Furfine of Wilmette was first, followed by Anne Pinkerton of WSlmette and Isabelle Sennett of Wilmette. Kindergarten and 1st grade: Stephanie Suh of Grayslake was first followed by Lauren Yousha of Wilmette and Schuyler Dick of Green Oaks. Among novice, unrated players, Oona Jung-Beeman of Wilmette came in first followed by Isabella Ibarra and Zoe Timmerman, both of Chicago.
