Notes
Chart shows differences between boys and girls in math and science. The "gender gap" in those subjects has narrowed from previous generations but it still exists even in high schools known for high academic standards. At New Trier High School shows that 44.5 percent of the boys exceeded the math standards, compared with 31.8 percent of the girls.
