THE LAKE SHORE NEWS, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20,1920 ELDRED FRANCIS BENT LEY DIED SUDDENLY WEDNESDAY We regret to announce the death of Eldred Francis Bentley, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Bentley, 804 Elm- wood avenue, which occurred at his home Wednesday night, February He had been ill about three weeks, with influenza and pneumonia, but had passed into the convalescent stage and was regarded well on the road to recovery, although he had not left his bed. Wednesday evening, while con- versing with the family, he suffered a heart failure from which he never rallied, notwithstanding prompt medical attention. The services were held at the home the following Friday morning, at 10:30 o'clock, Rev. C. A. Kelley and Rev. Joseph L. Walker officiating. A solo by-Mrs. R. J. Burrows, a short talk by Prof J. R. Harper who had known him intimately since he en- tered school, and who spoke feel- ingly of his ready response to his re- sponsibilities and opportunities, com- pleted the brief and simple cere- monies. , The interment was at Memorial Park cemetery. Eldred was born in Chicago, No- vember 11, 1903 and was sixteen years, three months of age. His parents moved to their present resi- dence, twelve years ago this spring and Eldred had completed the WH- mette grade schools and was a Junior at New Trier High school. He was a good student and was of a very happy, cheerful disposition, and leaves a host of friends who mourn his passing. SON OF LOCAL WOMAN IS PNEUMONIA VICTIM Funeral services for Arthur Demis Hinsdell of Rogers Park, son of Mrs. O. A. Hinsdell of 501 Washington avenue, were held at Graceland Chapel Thursday, February 12, after which the body was cremated and the ashes taken to Elgin to be buried at the Hinsdell-Carlseh mausoleum. Mr. Hinsdell died on Tuesday, February 10, after a short illness, as the result of a severe attack of in- fluenza followed by pneumonia. He is survived by his wife and' a small son besides his mother and his two brothers, one of whom re- sides in Evanston and the other in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a brother of the late Mrs. C. J. Carl- sen. Mr. Hinsdell was assistant ad-; vertising manager of the Brach Candy Co. of Chicago.
