At this session •at Community House nominations may be made from the floor to sup- plement the following names present- ed by the Nominating committee: Commander,' Warren Ewer. Vice commander, Henry Abegg. Finance officer, Carl Renneckar. Sergeant-at-arms, Arthur Meyers. Sign Original Charter The original charter of the Post will be signed by the charter mem- bers at this meeting of the legion men. Attend Tablet Unveiling Sunday morning, December 12,, at 11 o'clock, St. Augustine's Episcopal church will unveil a Memorial Tablet in memory of the three men of that church who died in the service. At the request of the Vestry of the church the American Legion will at- tend this service in a body. In uni- form. Every .ex-service man should attend. The post will meet at 10:30 o'clock at Commander Bradley's heme, 1104 Forest avenue. Each Post member is requested to call Joseph Shantz at Wilmette 603 on or before Saturday evening and-let him know whether or not he will attend this service. Bay Xmas Seals I The allotment of Red Cross Christ- mas Seals for the Post is at hand and is being handled by J. G. Barber, Merrimaa Hess and William Shell- man. The men are asked to get their Christmas seals from these menâ€"now. Thursday evening is Athletic night for the Wilmette Post. Byron C. Stolp school gymnasium, Tenth street and Central avenue. The Misses Kathryn and Joy Scheidenhelm of 704 Lake avenue, Miss Dorothea Schmedtgen, of 710 Greenleaf avenue and Miss Helen Bruch, of 1201 Greenwood avenue, will return on December 18 from Wellesley colloge for the Christmas holidays. Plans are now under way to form a children's dancing class to meet at the Ouilmette Country club one afternoon a week, immediately fol- lowing the holidays. Miss Jean Richardson will be the instructor. The Young Woman's Guild of the Presbyterian church will be enter- tained at dinner this evening at the homt of Mrs. W. G. Colvin, 709 Elm- wood avenue. Following the dinner an interesting Missionary Study pro- gram will be given. A group of young society girls, among them the Misses Virginia Taylor, Harriet Ridgway and Louise Tinsman of Kenilworth, acted as ushers on Tuesday evening at Wil liam Collier's performance of "The Hottentot." The occasion was the fifth benefit for the Ogontz Day Nur- sery. Mrs. E; P. Fatch of 611 Forest ave- nue, will leave on Wednesday of next week, for Blackwell, Wis., where she will spend the holidays with her son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Planner. Mr. Fatch will join them later in the month. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Knapp of 900 Forest avenue, have rented their home to Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Schager and family, formerly of Wilmette. * The Knapps are planning to leave for I California shortly after the holidays 'for a several months' sojourn. Mr. and Mrs. Leland V. Pierson re- turned last Saturday from a three • week's honeymoon in Tryon, N. C., and have moved into their home at 913 Twelfth street. Mrs. Pierson was formerly Miss Margaret Scheiden- ; helm. Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Calloway and Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Pierce of 920 Linden^ avenue, left on Thursday of last week, for a five months' stay in Orange City, Fla., returning to this village some time in April. Mr. and Mrs. George B. McCormick of Evanston entertained at dinner Wednesday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Knowlton L. Ames of Chicago, and their niece, Miss Mildred McLain of Brooklyn, N. Y. Mrs. McCormick vas formerly Miss Katherine Cody. Through an error in last week's issue in the report of the expenses and receipts at Community House from May 22 to October 8, a mis- statement of receipts from" the cake sales and the card parties was made. On Saturday evening of last week, Mr. and Mrs. Wendeltn P. Seng en- tertained with a dinner dance in the Louis XVI. ballroom in their home at 401 Lake avenue. There were cov- ers for sixty guests. Friends of Arthur O'Connell, 907 Central avenue, will be glad to hear that he is getting along exceptionally well after his accident of three weeks ago in which he received fracture of the teg and a dislocated ankle. Word was received of the death on Thanksgiving morning of Mrs. S. T. Gage of Cleveland, Ohio, sister of Mrs. H. A. Pope, 910 Lake avenue. Mrs. Pope left at once for Cleve- land and has only just returned. Mrs. Walter Hannah had as her guest for a few days last week, her brother, Joseph Horn, who has re- turned home from Northwestern Military academy, for the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. William C. Reinhold, 1005 Ashland avenue, left Sunday for a trip of several weeks through the east. They will visit relatives of Mrs. Reinhold in Philadelphia, Wash- ington^and New York. Mr. Carl A. Anderson, 1503 Lake avenue, who was very seriously in- jured in an accident about three weeks ago caused by the falling of an elevator, is recovering slowly at the Augustant hospital in Chicago. Mrs. L. J. Pierson is entertaining the second division of the Methodist Aid society at the home of her daugh- ter, Mrs. Carl Widney, 1514 Jonquil terrace, Chicago, on Tuesday, Dec- ember 14. For the past ten days Mrs. Claire P. Brown, 835 Sixteenth street, has been in Enid, Oklahoma, where she was called by the death of her great uncle. A musical comedy, "The Love Feast", will be presented by the Hermit and Crow club of Northwest- ern University at Aryan Grotto temple Friday and Saturday nights. Mr. and Mrs. John B. Gaper and daughter Sarah, of 731 Park avenue, left this week for Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where they will spend the win- ter. Messrs. Robert Stoddard, Kenneth Kerr and Ray Roth will return shortly from Ann Arbor, Mich., to spend the holidays with their parents. The A-O-Ki-Ya Camp of Camp- Fire Girls held a social meeting on Thursday at the home of Jean Eyjys, 100 S2hertdan road. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Bersbach, 1120 Michigan avenue, left Tuesday even- ing to spend the winter in San Diego, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Brown of Au- burn, N. The Wilmette Order of the Eastern Star will entertain with a card party and dance tomorrow evening at the Wilmette Woman's club. Miss Virginia Lillienfield will re- turn to her home, 816 Michigan ave- nue, the latter part of next week from Sargent's at Cambridge, Mass. On Friday, December 4, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman M. Drake entertained the Fellowship club at dinner at their home, 933 Lake arenae. A group of friends of Dr. and Mrs. M. G. Hecht gave a surprise party at their home, 815 Gregory avenue, on Saturday evening last, in honor of Dr. Hecht's birthday anniversary.
