Kennicott, Chief For- ester and I«. D. Flavin, Chief En- gineer. For a long time there has been some question among the members of the Forest Preserve committee as to whether the purchase of the great swamp land in the Skokie Valley would really be worth while and a profitable venture, according to Mr. Kennicott, last week- The debate was finally ended definitely last week, when all papers necessary for the completion of the purchase were signed. This is the first of a series of purchases to be completed for which extensive plant are now under way.__________ , "If I am allowed to carry out my plans** says Mr. Kennicott, "it is .my desire to branch the Skokie .river, which is a tributary of the Chicago river, into numerous small streams, all diverging from the main trunk in such manner as to form lagoons in the valley. This will aid in pre- serving the animal and plant life as it is in its present state and will serve as a protection against droughts. We will also take such steps necessary for the preservation of the valley in its natural state, keeping the future in mind at all times." , .....â€"-------â€"â€"---------- There are also tentative plans at hand to construct a lake of waving grass in the center of the valley ba- sin. "This great breathing space of out- of-doors will be much more appre- ciated and needed in the future than it is now," says Mr. Kennicott. Fur- ther definite announcements will be made later* The Misses Alice King. Ruth Shellman and Florence Branson left on Wednesday for Spring Hills' Camp. Michigami, Mich. New York, and the Wesichester County Hospital. "It "may also transform a beautiful, sweet-tem- pered woman into one who is cross, nervous and irritable. I have strongly emphasised the great necessity of physicians making blood examination* of their weak, anaemic, run- down patients. Thousands of persons go on year after year suffering from physical, weak- ness and a highly nervous condi t ion due to lack '**â€"'•VHfft ilf"W m tfrrfr â€"«* ****** corpuscles without ever realizing the real ca tee of their trouble. Without iron in your blood your food merely paists through the body something like corn through an old mill w ith rollers so wide apart that the mill can't grind. "For want of iron you may be an old man at thirty, dull of intellect, poor in memory, as 11 ii as ii i itahle. and all 'run ptMor «s with plenty of iron in you may still be young in feeling, full of life, your whole being brimming over with vim and energy. But he sure the iron you take is organic iron â€"Nuxated Ironâ€"and not metallic iron which people usually take. Organic ironâ€"Nuxated Ironâ€"is like the iron in your blood and like the iron in spinach, lentils and apples, while metallic iron is iron just as it comes from the action of strong acids on small pieces of iron filings and is therefore an entirely different thing from Nuxated Iron. Nuxated Iron rep- resents organic iron in such a highly concen- trated* form that one dose is estimated to be approximately' equivalent (in organic iron content) to eating one-half quart of spinach, one quart of green vegetables or half a dozen baked apples. It is tite taking extract* ofheef instead of eating pounds of meat. Over 4.000.000 people annually are using Nuxated Iron. It quickly helps make rich red blood, revitalize wornoot exhausted nerves and give incsecsed strength and energy.
