Bids will be opened here on August 23. The governor's announcement fol- lowed a recent tour of road inspec- tion in the northern and eastern parts of the state. The proposed roads are to be built in numerous counties lo- cated in all parts of the state. * - The Division of Highways has re- ceived instructions to receive the bids on the work and to open bids in Springfield on August 23. The letting already has been advertised for that â€"date"byrhe division.
