In fact, the character of the street layouts in the neighborhood will nec- essitate a great deal of work being underground. The improvement will cost approximately $20,000. This is practically the last work of this kind to be done in Wilmette. Most of the company lines are in alleys or^n lot -1iire5~aTTtf §:^gGO& sharr underground. The company proposes, also, to lay 2,700 feet of new gas mains in the southwest part of Wilmette. This work will include 792 feet on Isabella street west of 15th street; 432 feet on Hill street west of 15th street; 2?0 on 16th street south of Hill street; 336 feet on Gregory avenue we^st of 15th street; 912 feet on Nanzig ave- nue south of Wilmette avenue. This improvement wilHcost--aT>pTo^dml[fe1y $6,000, and will provide facilities to serve 30 homes. It is made necessary by the remarkable home building de- velopment in that portion of the vil- lage., .'â- ..' The projects are expected to be m progress of construction within a month. CHURCHES ENTERTAIN ARDEN SHORE CAMPERS K ?The 40 boys at the Arden Shore fresh air camp had a treat last Sun- day afternoon. About 25 members of the Young Peoples ^society of the TPirst Congregational church, under the leadership of A. H. .Howard, mo- tored up to the camp at I«ake Bluff to hold a short service, r They had with them the New Trier "quartete, composed of Tom King, Roy Nelson, Ridgway Daggy, Curtis Bur- hell, Harold Larson, and, after look- ing over the beautiful camp every- body gathered m, the big schoolroom. The Quartete sang several of their folly songs which the boys enjoyed greatly. Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. Walk- entertained them withnmreicat readings and the Rev. Stuffer gave 0& fine talk. As an added joy a small -pail of ice cream was given to each bcfy out on the play ground and boys and visitors had a chance to get ac- mplfis ftrtl^li^'lr 'â- ' .: â- â- â- '."â- 'â- â- .'â- MM'^'M Genuine Small Spring | l^m^f Hmdqvarter.. .42c " "'•'it Fore Quarter . j|l§^f|35c. On the contrary, he admitted a sense ©f-sadness as the trusty equities were led from their'stalls to well de- served rest from delivery duty. One of the horses had been Js^thjLJjerjafis. of the company for 20 years. Now there are five empty stalls in the com- pany barns and this week the Oil Company's truck furnished an_extra supply of gasoline. Two new Dodge trucks were- added to the fleet, pro- vided by C, M. McDo|ahi of lyajis- ton. \^-:> ^^'H;'^-;â- â- >'- :-â- -â- The installation of a complete mo- tor equipment was found necessary largely because of the material in- crease in the family wash business x>f the laundry, it was explained. This department has become one of the largest in the concern and it became imperative to expedite the delivery service. â- "â- 58BB&H Mestjian Occupies New || Rug Establishment Here Aram K.
