R. Harper of the wil- tnette Public schools told graduates of the Barrington Township public schools at their commencement exer- cises last Sunday afternoon. The teacher resembles Moses in that he-can go only so far with the pupils under his care, Mr. Harper explained. The time Comes when boys and girls must leave the school and go out into life alone. Whether or not the boy or girl succeeds is the real test of the worth of the school. Mr. Harper said that in the train- ing of children, teachers would do well to follow the example of Moses in the training he.. gave. Moses, he said, instilled in his people three great attributes: a knowledge of the Moral Law; an ability for independent think- ing ; a love and respect for the na- tion.:'! elfPS?"^,; "'k^'??%&â- %£*â- 'â- if.: % Beat Boys in Recent M%>: Des Moines, Iowa.â€"The students that stand highest in their high school classes in this State come from the farms, according to the results of a. survey made by Professor Charles Deich, of Simpson College. * Professor Deich bases his report upon information0; from: 316 high school principals, who supervise 6,000 high school pupils in this State.
