Mrs. Celia P. Bartlett, mother of Mrs. R. J. Wig, formerly Anna May Bartlett, of 1515 Spruce street, South Pasadena, Cal., died in the Victoria Hospital in Palestine on May 3, while on a tour of the Holy Land with a party from the Pasadena Presbyterian church. Memorial services were held at the home in South Pasadena on May 5. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery, Chicago, upon the arrival of the remains some time this month.

Mrs. Bartlett, who was 70 years of age and was apparently in perfect health up to the time of her death, was well known in Wilmette, having resided here for a number of years. She was born in Minooka, Ill., on August 30, 1857. She married Dr. Rufus H. Bartlett in 1882. After his death in 1905 she and her daughter moved to Wilmette to be with her mother and sister, Mrs. M. A. Convis and Mrs. Fannie C. Strong, then residing at 1144 Wilmette avenue, the site of the present Wilmette Episcopal church. The daughter, Anna May Bartlett, married Rudolph J. Wig in 1910 and they all moved to Washington, C. C., removing to California in 1918.
