Mrs. Harry E. Smoot. 610 Maple avenue Wilmette, passed away suddenly Wednesday evening of last week from a throat infection.

She is survived by her husband: by two daughters, Miss Dorothy Meyer, and Miss Betty Smoot; by three sisters: Mrs. Howard Osburn, Hanford, Calif., Mrs. Eugene Steinheimer, Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Hartman, also of Tucson: and by a brother, Freeman Bradford, of Indianapolis, Ind.

Funeral services were conducted at Wilmette Parish [unclear] Methodist church on Sunday by the Rev. Erskine M. Jeffords followed by Eastern Star Rites by the officers of the Wilmette chapter.

Mrs. Smoot was a resident of Wilmette for many years, and was a member of the Woman's club, the League of Women's voters, the Women's National Republician club, and the Wilmette chapter of the latter organization.
