Mrs. J. H. Thomas of 627 Sheridan road, Winnetka, received a cable Saturday from England telling her of the death that day of her mother, Mrs. Lavinia Johns of Owlsmoor, England. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Sandhurst churchyard, Sandhurst, England. In addition to Mrs. Thomas, the survivors are three brothers, living in Altoona, Pa., a sister, whose home is in England, and seven grandchildren, four of whom live in England. The other three are Maurice Thomas of 896 Linden avenue, Hubbard Woods, Joseph Johns of Menominee, Mich., and Donald Johns, until recently of Winnetka, but now in the U.S. navy and stationed aboard the Enterprise.
