Memorial Service for Olive Grover Set for December 3
Plans for the memorial service to be held next Tuesday night for thelate Miss Olive L. Grover of the New Trier High School Art department were announced this week. The service will be at 8 o'clock in the small auditorium and friends and former students of Miss Grover have been invited to attend. The music department of the school, under the direction of Mrs. Marian Cotton, is arranging a special program of music by the choral groups and by the school orchestra. Some of the poems written by Miss Grover are to be read by Gordon Van Kirk, one of her associates on the New Trier faculty. Two other members of the faculty, Miss Elizabeth E. Packer, dean of girls, and Dr. C. Russell Small, head of the foreign language department, will talk on Miss Grover's connection with the high school and what her life really meant to New Trier. Miss Grover died on October 20. She was a member of the original faculty and had been head of the art department for many years.
