Betty F. Slawin (nee O'Rourke), 83, of Lincolnshire, formerly of Highland Park. Most loving mother of Mary Frances O'Rourke, Susie (Steve) Pearse, Scott (Thryn), Kevin (Kay), Jamie Ericksen, Jennifer (Dan) Servi and the late Nancy (Joe) Kalita; cherished grandmother of Katie O'Rourke; Tom, Jeff and Tyler Pearse; Robert, Rebecca and Kyle Slawin; Tim (Val) and Ryan Kalita; Elizabeth, Laura and Ryan Slawin; Bobby, Jason, Brookie and Luke Ericksen; Jill, Danny and Samantha Servi. Had her Master's degree and was a retired auditor for the state of Illinois. A visitation was held Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, Highland Park, IL. Funeral Mass was on Wednesday, January 6, at Immaculate Conception Church in Highland Park. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association , 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60607.
