Full Text

Messrs. H. H. Gage, who served in Co. G., 96th Illinois, during the civil war, Edwin Drury, of the same company and regiment, and F. I. Jacobs, 37th Illinois, attended the Lake County soldiers and sailors' reunion, at Gray's Lake, Wednesday and Thursday, of last week.

It is suggested that the people of Wilmette engage Library hall for some evening of next week, and give the returning boys a public reception. It is an idea worth considering. Short addresses and music might make up the program, and everybody be given a chance to shake hands with the boys. If some one will take the lead, we have no doubt that it can be carried through successfully.
