- Hwa-Nan Wei, 87, died April 7, 2003. Mr. Wei was born April 8, 1915 in Qingdao, China. Survivors include his wife, Shuh-Jen (nee Shyng) Wei of Skokie; two daughters; Yan Lin (Kang Yun) Tong of Skokie and Helen (Anton) Chin of Skokie; two sons, Peter (Rosa) Wei of Wilmette and Fred Wei of Skokie; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Yan-Fen Wei.
