- Serge Bjorn Slonicki of Winnetka died suddenly of a heart attack on June 1 in Hyde Park, N.Y. He was 25. Mr. Slonicki graduated in April from the Culinary Institute ofAmerica, where he had accepted a teaching position. He is survived by his mother, Ulla Slonicki of Sudbury, Mass.; his father, Alex Slonicki of Winnetka; two sisters, Rachel Lewis of Chicago, and Angela Kokes of Wilmette; and his brother Peter of Dallas, Texas. Funeral services and interment were June 4 at ST. Augustine's Episcopal Church, Wilmtte. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Culinary Institute of America Scholarship Fund, P.O.
