- A memorial service for Thornton Withers Snead is scheduled for Monday, April 9, at the Church of the Holy Comforter, 222 Kenilworth Ave., Kenilworth. Mr. Snead, a former Winnetka resident, died April 1in Palm City, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Julia W.; daughters Carol Snead Hunter of Scottsdale, Arizona, Susan Snead Clardy of Hanford, Calif., and Mary Snead Mayer of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
