- Dr. James W. Rowe, 51, died Sept. 23 in Santa Barbara, California. Dr. Rowe is survived by his wife, Julia; three sons, James, Stephen and Thomas of Goleta, Cal.; his parents, Burchell and Sarah Rowe of Venice, Fla.; and a brother, Robert of Plymouth, Minn.
