- Caroline G. (née Kirchens) Pettinger, 82, died September 16, 1998 at Evanston Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband, William E. Pettinger. Survivors include her son, Thomas (Lenore) of Glenview; her daughter, Marjorie (Nicholas) Kaup of Wilmette; four grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (the late Martin) Schneider of Glenview and Rose (Bud) Miller of Wheeling; and her brother, Peter (Betty) Kirchens of Glenview
