- Charles E. "Ned" Penfold, 79, an anccountant, died May 31 at Evanston hospital. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; and four children, Patricia Thomas of Park Ridge, Gail Scholl of Deep Heaven, Minn., Charles E. of Glenview, and James F. of Jefferson City, Mo., and a sister, Mildred Mueller of Oakbrook.
