- Francis J. Naphin, a lifelong resident of Wilmette, died March 14 at Evanston Hospital. He was 79. He is survived by his wife, Isabel; a son Francis J. of Winnetka; five daughters, Isabel of Evanston; Martha A. O'Toole of St. Paul, Minn., Mary M. Frenzel of Evanston, Rosemary B. of Milwaukee; and Catherine E. Huntress of Pamona City, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.
