- Donald Joda, former long-time New Trier East physical education instructor, died March 8 in Fairbury, Ill. He was 80. Mr. Joda is survived by his wife, Mildred. There were no children.
Mr. Joda received the first Ray Eliot Citizens' Award. Mr. Eliot, the former University of Illinois football coach died two weeks ago. - Date of Publication
