- Mary Frances Burkhard and Walter Gerhardt Buettner were married June 4 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Wilmette. The Rev. Wayne Watts officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl R. Burkard of Wilmette. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Buettner of Brown Deer, Wis. Anne Burkard, Wilmette, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Richard Frohmader, Madison, Wis., the groom's brother-in-law, was best man. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister Amy Burkard of Skokie; Ann Fenner of Seattle, Wash.; and Susan Keenan of Chicago. Leslie Jarvi, the groom's niece, was junior bridesmaid. Groomsmen were Martin Jarvi, Cedarburg, Wis., the groom's brother-in-law, James Price, Lansing, Mich.; and Dr. Patrick Beecher, Dearborn, Mich.; Ryan Frohmader, the groom's nephew, was junior groomsman. Ushers included Lawrence Fleig, Glenview; Gary Walters, Milwaukee, Wis.; and the groom's nephews, Eric Frohmader of Madison; and Jason Jarvi of Cedarburg. The groom's twin sisters, Maria Jarvi of Cedarburg and Erika Frohmader of Madison, were readers.
