- Mabel L. Hoffman, 77, a lifelong resident of Wilmette, was pronounced dead Jan. 20 at Evanston Hospital. Survivors include sons, Douglas Hoffman of Palo Alto, Cal. and Ron Hoffman of Wilmette; a sister, Sigrid Borre of Wilmette, and eight grandchildren.
