- Ellen Burns, 91, formerly a resident of Wilmette, died Sept. 4 in Eden Prairie, Minn. She was 91. Mrs. Burns was born in Chicago. She is survived by two daughters, Mary McCarthy of Bloomfield, Mich., and Rita Olk of Eden Prairie, Minn.; two sons, Robert F. of Wilmette and John T. of Cary, Ill.; 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Leonard Corey.
