- Virginia Bixby Whitney of Vero Beach, Fla., died Nov. 28 following a prolonged illness. She was 80. Survivors are two daughters, Barbara Whitney Keith of Ft. Lauderdale and Martha Reed Whitney of Vero Beach; and two grandchildren, Kari and Whitney Keith.
