- Former Northfield resident Jane Fortune Nolan, 74, died Dec. 2 in Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Nolan was born in Chicago. She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Nolan; six children, Peter, Michael and Timothy of Tacoma, Molly Abrahamian of Brooklyn, Kathleen Gunderson of Seattle and Maura N. O'Scannian of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Thomas L. Fortune of Winnetka and Robert S. Fortune of Ft. Payne, Ala.; nephews French S. Cary III of Winnetka and William J. Lawlor III of Kenilworth, and 15 grandchildren.
