- Electa Austin Tideman Santacroce observed her 100th birthday on Oct. 16. She was born in Ravenswood, now a part of Chiacgo, in 1893. Beginning in 1922, she was organist and choir director of St. John's Lutheran Church, Wilmette, for nearly 40 years. Electa Austin was married to Paul Gamron of Wilmete in 1927. After his death she married Selim Tideman, Sr., of Wilmette, former member of the Wilmette village board, in 1956. After Mr. Tideman died, she married Thomas R. Santacroce of Southampton, N.Y. She now resides at The Whitehall North, a care facility at 300 Waukegan Road, Deerfield.
