Herbert Salter, 1708 Highland avenue, died Wednesday, June 22, at the Evanston hospital, following an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Salter had been a resident of Evanston for 12 years before coming to Wilmette. He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Elsie and Dorothy May. Funeral services were held Saturday from Scott's chapel, 1109 Central avenue, Wilmette, to the residence. The Rev. Morgan Williams, pastor of Wheadon Methodist Episcopal church, Evanston, officiated.
