- Mary Abele died January 19 in Redlands, Cal. [California] Mrs. Abele, 85, was born near Peoria. She is survived by her husband, Walter L. of Redlands; two sons, James R. of Miami and Walter M. of Redlands; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Bess Gates of Parma, Ohio; and two nieces, Mrs. Robert Braby of Parma and Mrs. Maxwell Rust of Wilmette. Private sevices and entombment were held at Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands.
