- Mrs. Clara M. Macalister, 88, of Evanston, formerly of Wilmette, died April 21 in her home. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Underwood of Northfield and Mrs. Perry Smithers of Winnetka; a son, Richard H. of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Walter Hopewell of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother, David Hervey of Milwaukee; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
