The Tenth Congressional District, Federation of Women's Clubs, met with the Ravenswood Woman's Club on March 25 at the Templar Club building, Ravenswood. Mrs. M. K. Northham made a welcome speech. Mrs. Catherine Von Frick, chairman of the "Bulletin" committee. Next speaker was Henry Willen, age 18, who spoke of the "Boys' Brotherhood of the Republic" which he represented saying they had club rooms on Ashland Boulevard. The club helps boys who are down and out and gives them temporary homes and help them find jobs.
Judge Elmer Brothers gave a talk on the war. Mrs. W. D. Washburn, chair of the War Emergency committee, gave a financial report. Mr. George B. Sykes talked about "Our City Government"; Henry R. Rathbone of Kenilworth gave a patriotic speech calling for fairness to labor regardless of race, color or creed.
