- A diverse group of school advocates Monday proposed a 36-point reform plan to Illinois lawmakers for ensuring that multibillion-dollar investment of new money into education produces good results. Former State Superintendent Max McGee, now superintendent of Wilmette School District 39, is one of seven key framers of the Burnham Plan for improving school quality and fiscal accountability.
