- Former Kenilworth resident Alvin B. Nordhem, 88, of Overland Park, Kan., and formerly of Savannah, Ga, died May 6 at Menorah Medical Center in Kansas. Mr. Nordhem was born Aug. 14, 1918, in the Logan Square area in Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hauseman Nordhem; daughters Paula (Jim Calkins) Nordhem and Julie (Kyle) Stevens; a son, Robert (Elizabeth); and five grandchildren, Rachel, John, Michael, Matthew and Rosemary.
