- William P. Gregory of Wilmette died Feb. 17. He was 84.
He was born Nov. 10, 1922, in East Aurora, N.Y., to the Rev. Russell S. and May L. Gregory.
At age 11, after a series of tragedies as well as his father's subsequent death-- he and his two brothers were separated. Mr. Gregory went to live with his mother's relatives in Toronto, Canada.
He married Adelaide Silber in 1946
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy (Frans) van der Horst, Susan (DeMonte) Johnson and Ann (Richard) Grusin; one son, Douglas (Renee) Gregory; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin Gunnerson) Johnson, Michelle Gregory, Sarah Grusin, Samuel Grusin and Steven Gregory; two nieces, Sandy (Win) Davis and Wendy Miller; and a nephew, James Gregory.
