- The Illinois Junior Golf Association's Slovitt Sizzler is a memorial event honoring Bruce Slovitt of Winnetka who died in an auto accident nearly a year ago. Glenview's Chelsea Michalek earned a third place showing in the Junior Girls. Wilmette's Grace Kingdom was in a tie for fifth and Glencoe's Irene Hickey tied for seventh. Katy O'Malley of Wilmette was 11th. IN Junior Boys play, Winnetka's Michael Hermanson finished in a tie for sixth and Glenview's Steven Petchenik tied for ninth and Alex Santostefano of Wilmette tied for 13th. Winnetka's Graham Frank and Steven Schreck topped the local entries for Senior Boys with a seventh place showing. Wilmette's Jacob Wagner tied for 11th. Glenviews Quinlan Prchal's tied for second behind winner Timothy Kelly of Wheaton. Glenview's Creigton Helms tied for ninth and Winnetka's Thomas Errath tied for 12th. Dana Gullen of Winnetka placed sixth in the Girls 12-13 division while Glenview's Sarah Choate won the nine-hole event for Girls 10-11.
