- Representing the Wilmette Golf Course, Northbrook's William Sakas tied for fourth duringthe 2007 Illinois PGA Senior Championship at Mundelein's Pine MEadow Golf Course last week.
Local qualifiers for the Illinois State Amateur include Winnetka residents Blake Johnson, Jery Maatman, Jr., Philip Arouca and Nick Martin. Northfield's Nicholas Lawler finished in a tie for 10th at the qualifier conducted at University Golf Course in Normal last Friday
Brittany Rendell of Winnetka reached the semifinals of the No.3 flight competition at the 81st National Junior Championships held July 9-13 at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Oho.
Mills Rendell won a tie for ninth at the John Deere Classic Junior All-Star event in Long Grove, Iowa
In Illinois Junior Golf Association play last week, Glencoe's Jordan Hayes tied for fourth among senior boys July 18.
Winnetka's Molly Hulseman was second in the junior girls play at Deerpath Golf Couse while Winnetka's Christina Lundin took eighth
Winnetka golfers Callie Nelson and Elizabeth Szokol took top two positions for girls 12-13 during the IJGA's Youth Development Program at Winnetka Golf Club last Thursday. Winnetka's Dana Cullen was fourth and Northbrook's Dakota Karson placed sixth.
Among boys 12-13, Winnetka's Graham Kenter tied for third. Thomas Errath and Jimmy Tippet, both of Winnetka tied for sixth
At Countryside's Flagg Creek Golf Course on Friday at the YDP 18-hold event for boys 10-11, Winnetka's Jack Junge tied for fifth place.
Competing in YDP nine-hole event at Nickol Knoll GOlf Course in Arlington Heights Jully 16, WInnetka's Michael Adler placed second. - Date of Publication
