- New owners have taken over Charlie's Coffee House in Wilmette, now called Gilson's. It will be serving food as former owner Bob Danon had since 2004, but they will not have music performances on the side. Danon and his pet dog Charlie can still be found at the R.C. Danon Gallery, 1124 Central Avenue, Wilmette, which he has run for 31 years.
