- Area League of Women Voters members are hosting a four-day event devoted to the issue of global warming. On Oct. 18-21, the League of Women Voters of Wilmette, and nine other area leagues will host, "Our Climate Matters," to educate residents about the issues. Keynote speaker will be Peter Goldmar, program director of New York-basd Environmental Defense. Comments by Libby Bankoff, director of special projects for the Wilmette League.
