- Thomas J. Ferguson, former long-time Wilmette resident and owner of the Wilmette Cafe, died July 6 in Evanston Hospital. Born in Greece, he was living in Skokie. He is survived by his wife, Marianne; a daughter, Lea Cocallas of Northbrook; and a brother in Greece.
