- Wilmette Arden Shore committee held annual card party at the Woman's Club on Wednesday of last week. Card game winners were Mrs. George D. White, 1101 Greenwood avenue; Mrs. Beasley; Mrs. Scott; Mrs. C. C. Mitchell, 814 Linden avenue; Mrs. S. G. Nordorf, 1507 Lake Avenue; Mrs. R. W. Jordan, 1317 Elmwood avenue; Mrs. G. W. Harrington, 1058 Linden avenue; Mrs. H. J. Richter, 1211 Hil street; Mrs. J. P. Gowing, 630 Washington avenue; Mrs. Oscar W. Schmidt, 827 Elmwood; Mrs. Palmer. Chances were sold on a Panama hat, on display at Rennacker's Drug Store. The hat will be raffled off some time this week in charge of Miss Hortense Gowing.
Mrs. J. D. Colt will be hostess to the members of the Drama Study class next Wednesday
Mrs. F. D. Day, 810 Oakwood avenue, entertains the Tuesday Bridge and Luncheon Club next week
Mrs. Roy Macpherson of North Edgewater entertained the North Shore Luncheon club yesterday
The Eight Club was entertained by Mrs. Whiffen on Monday.
The Reading circle meets next Monday at the home of Mrs. H. K. Snider on Washington avenue.
Mrs. George White will entertain the Friday Club on Aug. 21
The Central Avenue circle met Friday at the home of Miss Carrie Brown on Eleventh street.
The Woman's Club will give a card party Wednesday, August 19, for the benefit of the building fund. The committee is in charge of Mrs. Theodore Breyer, 725 Washington aenue, chairman; Mrs. Arthur Allen, 1029 Thirteenth street; Mrs. David Dickinson, 511 Washington avenue; Mrs. H J. Richter, 1211 Hill street; Mrs. Frank Gallagher, 1234 Forest avenue; Mrs. Hugh Foster, 921 Greenleaf avenue; and Mrs. John Nelson, 1511 Forest avenue.
First division of the Methodist Ladies' Aid met Monday with Mrs. Daniels, 1135 Elmwood avenue.
